Ruben Studdard, a past American Idol winner has married Surata Zuri in a quiet ceremony in Birmingham, Alabama. Ruben has continued plans to stay in Alabama and is looking forward to release a new music album later this year.
It’s been a while since Asia’h Epperson hit the news. As we understand, Asia’h Epperson has been working on her music career quite diligently and even released a couple of albums. I would have loved the albums feature Asia’h Epperson as well but I guess I will have to wait for some more time for that to happen.
With the American Idol fever winding down and with people already talking about next season, Asia’h Epperson runs the real risk of being relegated to a has been. While we here would not allow that to happen anytime soon, it is vital that Asia’h also make frequent appearagnces at the right events. There is nothing wrong with being in the limelight and everything right if that will get you your next break.
While I strongly believe that Asiah Epperson is indeed working on her next music album I urge her to keep herself in the news. As a singer and entertainer I’m sure she knows that you are only as good as your last gig and with American Idol season 7 past of our history now it is time to look forward. Use the experience, the contacts and the media exposure to achieve greater heights and as always we here at Asia’h Epperson will always support you. You go girl!!
Asia’h Epperson recently released a couple of professionally recorded music videos. Good to see Asia’h Epperson singing and keeping her voice still fresh. Next would be to actually see a music video featured on Asia’h Epperson herself.
Keep them coming Asia’h and you readers keep coming back for more latest news and updates about Asia’h Epperson.

For the true Asia’h Epperson fans and being the number one Asia’h Epperson fan site I figured it these anagrams will make for some good reading. So here they are
Well there you are. Come back for more Asia’h Epperson news updates and oddities ![]()
David Cook is this years American Idol. After more than 3 months since the show started, we finally have a winner and I must say a thoroughly deserving winner. Nearly 97.5 million votes were cast and 56 % of the American public voted for David Cook to be this years American Idol.
This is quite an achievement for someone that did not even plan to contest. Cook after he was crowned blamed his brother for landing him the coveted title of American Idol.
The 2 hour finale saw a bevy of singers and past competitors from this season sing the night away before the final winner was announced. The judges were unanimous in saying that this season was among the best and the final two singers were both winners and should go on to do really well for themselves.
My particular disappointment with the final show was the fact that Asia’h Epperson was completely missing from action. She was nowhere to be seen on stage. The final show had Syesha Mercado, Brooke White, Michael Johns, Carly Smithson, Ramiele Malubay, Amanda Overmyer, Jason Castro, Chikezie perform in either group or solo songs. Very conspicuous in her absence was Asia’h Epperson and from a fan perspective was a real pity. I was really looking forward to see Asia’h Epperson perform once again on the American Idol but I guess I will have to wait a while longer before I see Asia’h Epperson on Television.
Asia’h Epperson was in the news recently for singing at the Springfield Cardinals first game of the year. Though originally Asia’h Epperson was scheduled to sing the national anthem, delays at the airport forced the change in the schedule.
The 19 year old who made it to the top 12 female singers at the ongoing American Idol was unfortunate in missing out. After her exit from the competition Asia’h Epperson has been keeping a low profile. The public appearance today was one of the few instances that Asia’h Epperson has sung in public since her exit.
While many would eagerly point out that Asia’h Epperson had many things on her side such as crowd support, emotion and sympathy she did not make it beyond the top 12. However if you go purely by her singing and ignore the circumstances of the competition during her exit, I’m sure you would all agree that this is one talented singer and the world has only begun to take note of Asia’h Epperson.
As we slowly wind down to the end of Season 7 of the American Idol show, let’s look back on the previous winners and reminisce on some of yesterday’s stars.
The first season of the American Idol was very unlike the hit show it is today. Few people know of the fact that the show might have never been aired at all if it was not for Rupert Murdoch’s daughter. The first American Idol was a close contest between Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini. Eventually it would be Kelly that would take the honors. Kelly’s first single, the coronation song ”A moment like this” went on to be number 1 on the Billboard top 100. No small achievement as she broke the record set by “The Beatles”.
Ruben Studdard took the crown in the second edition of the American Idol in 2003. The runner up was Clay Aiken, who led the vote’s right from the start till the most crucial vote of them all. The second American Idol was not without it’s share of controversy. Ruben Studdard, the eventful winner sued 205 Flava Inc jerseys for using his pictures in ad campaigns. This was in direct violation of American Idol rules but nothing came out of it. The lawsuit was settled out of court. There was also Frenchie Davis and Corey Clark, American Idol contestants disqualified from the show. Frenchie Davis was because topless pictures of her showed up on the internet and Corey Clark for failing to disclose that he had a police record.
The third season of the American Idol was none other than Fantasia Barrino, arguably the most talented of all the American Idol winners. Her first single after the show debuted at Number 1 on Billboard’s top 100. The runner up was Diana Degarmo whose singing career never did take off.
The contest rules were changed in season 4 of the American Idol to increase the upward limit to 28. This was done to bring in more variety among the contestants. The winner was Carrie Underwood and the runner up was Bo Bice. Both Carrie and Bo released albums soon after and both albums debuted at No 1 and No 2 at the Billboard Top 100. Unlike the previous years contestants, the runner up Bo Bice went on to have a successful singing career.
Taylor Hicks took the honors at the fifth running of the American Idol show. Taylor Hicks had a great run throughout the competition without ever falling into the bottom three’s at any stage. Runner up Katharine McPhee is quite a popular singer with two Top 40 billboard hits to date.
Jordin Sparks, Blake Lewis and Sanjaya Malakar went at each other with Jordin emerging as the winner. Sanjaya Malakar had the audiences swooning more for his hairdo than his voice but in the end Jordin Sparks clearly was the deserving winner. As with some of the previous years winners Jordin never had to spent time as the bottom 3 at any stage in the competition.
This brings us to Season 7. What a competition we’ve seen so far not to mention some great singers. Asia’h Epperson was eliminated early. Michael John, another singer with a lot of professional experience and a great voice became the second major casualty and finally it was Carly Smithson’s turn last week. This leaves us with 5 idols all with a great shot at winning the crown. I must say though that David Archuleta has his nose out in front with the finish post in sight.
Tomorrow will be another red letter day. Who will dazzle us with their song selection and performance, who will fall prey to the nerves and the occasion. It’s only a matter of time before this years winner is announced and the rest are left ruing what could have been. But then again, winning isn’t everything. As previous years runners up and competition contestants have shown us by going on to have hugely successful careers, we can only hope the same for some of this years better contestants and of course Asia’h Epperson.
It’s been a long and arduous road but the glory is still up for grabs. Each one of the top 6 still standing at this years American Idol know they have a very good chance at superstardom. Every one of the remaining idols can go on to have glittering careers and are all commercially viable.
Picking a favorite is like drawing straws at the moment. But if you put a gun to my head and asked me to choose then I would have to say David Archuleta is probably the one that has the biggest momentum going for him at the moment. America loves a sense of romance. What could be more romantic and incredible than a seventeen year old unknown just a few months ago becoming the next American Idol. The younger you are they more people tend to mother you and push you to succeed. It will be a shocker if David Archuleta is not among the top three. If that ever happens then it probably will be because of David Archuleta screwing up so badly or like Asia’h Epperson has one of those off days.
The closest competition to David is from his good friend Jason Castro. Jason has a lot of things going for him, a growing fan base that is almost rivals David’s and a great voice to match. Jason is my pick for the second spot in the top three. For my third and final sport I will have to go with Carly Smithson. Carly comes across as a woman with a lot of character and America and Americans love that. She comes across a strong willed and confident woman with a colorful personality. Ofcourse all that wouldn’t matter if could not sing but Carly Smithson is no slouch there too.
I know this list is a little different from the list I had earlier posted on the Asia’h Epperson Fan blog but hey at least I still have my top two hanging in there. My previous favorite, Brooke White, the one I was rooting for after Asia’h Epperson, has really disappointed in the past few weeks and every day she looks closer and closer to simply disintegrating on the stage. After Simon Cowell’s recent comment about her performance of the Mariah Carey “Hero” song, Brooke only just managed to maintain her composure. “Ordering a hamburger and getting only the bun”. That line was priceless. Where does Simon come up with this stuff?
Anyway enough said about my favorites. My all time favorite Asia’h Epperson though is no longer in the American Idol competition and hopefully is onto bigger things. As with the final 6 idols, a singing career, more importantly a successful singing career is not limited to the winner. Season 7 of the American Idol has sure rocked so far, we’ve had the pleasure of watching and listening to great voices and performers. Lets hope the remaining idols go out with all guns blazing.
Don’t forget to watch Fox tomorrow, April 21st 2008, its crunch time again folks, all the top 6 idols will be singing and also make sure to come back and read more news about American Idol and Asia’h Epperson on this website.
Many Americans and the world fell in love with Asia’h Epperson when they first saw her in this years American Idol. The first images broadcast show her as a gritty and courageous teen that managed to win over the hearts of the judges and fans alike with her tremendous poise and courage to show up for the audition much less ace the audition.
Over the course of next few weeks Asia’h Epperson would go on to add to her fan list as she breezed her way into the top 12 women at the American Idol. Sadly Asia’h could not keep up her momentum and was eliminated just when she was beginning to become the odds on favorite to win the Season 7 American Idol crown.
This post looks back at some of her more memorable quotes during her participation at the American Idol competition.
I always believed that he was with me and God was with me. My family and friends were there to help me and encourage me through it all. I believe strongly that it was what he wanted me to do. My dad would never have wanted me to stop going forward with my dreams because of what had happened. He always wanted me to follow my dreams and that’s what pushed me to keep going.
Boy !! I was so excited about singing my favorite Beatles song. I was going to sing “Can’t Buy Me Love.” It is such an awesome song. I took a sample beat from Jazzy Jeff way back and so it was going to have a hip-hop and R&B flavor to it. I was really looking forward to it as the song was so much fun but at the same time so original. I know for sure if I had sung that song that I would have even made it further in the competition.
I loved all the judges in the competition and all the people out there that was judging me. But looking back I have to say that my favorite judge would have to be Simon Cowell. Everyone has this opinion that he is kind of bitter but the fact is that he does know what he’s talking about. He’s a professional and I think he gives you really good constructive criticism. The delivery might be a bit flawed in that he is very sarcastic and blunt and you wish he words it a little differently but in the end he makes you do the best that you can do.
I really believe the sky’s the limit for me. I’m going to take every opportunity that presents itself. I’ve been a part of drama, theater and similar stuff right from middle school and high school. So in my heart I know I’m going to do some acting, some commercials, maybe even a little bit of modeling. But one thing I’m sure about is that I’m definitely going to be singing because music is my heart and soul.
I hope you enjoyed reading some of what Asia’h Epperson has to say looking back on the competition. Keep coming back to read more of Asia’h Epperson and more of her quotes.
Hold onto your horses just yet. This is currently only a rumor and has yet to be verified. So don’t go put on your partying hat just yet. The rumor doing its rounds states that 5 contestants will be bought back in April and the hot tip is that Asia’h Epperson is one of them.
The rumor if it turns out to be true will be God sent for Asia’h. The talented singer definitely deserves better and with all the three judges agreeing that her exit was a surprise and that she definitely had the talent to compete further into the competition she is sure to be picked as one of the lucky five.
Maybe this time luck will be on Asia’h side. Luck deserted her last time around with Asia’h battling sickness at the worst possible time and then being the first singer on the fateful day when she got eliminated.
The 19 year old has shown tremendous composure and guts to battle it this far into the competition. Even if the rumors turn out to be false I don’t believe that Asia’h Epperson could be held back for long. It’s just a matter of time before we again see and hear Asia’h Epperson back in the limelight doing the thing she does best, singing.
As the world watches American Idol week after week, the fans of Asia’h are praying that they get another chance to vote the singer back into the competition. The chances though realistically speaking are slim but when you are a true fan you tend to hang onto hope even if they mean clutching straws.
Asia’h Epperson is now back home in Joplin Missouri. For those who have been living under a rock for the past few months, Asia’h Epperson auditioned for the American Idol Season 7 and went on to reach the top 12 female singers. Unfortunate turn of events and illness contributed to Asia’h being voted off the premier television show.
Many writers from quite a few publications have questioned America’s decision in sending Asia’h Epperson off the show. The reasoning seems to be unanimous, Asia’h was by no means the worst singer, there were far worse performers in the final 12 and all the judges absolutely loved Asia’h Epperson’s performance and agreed that it should have been enough to keep her in the competition.
The attached video shows a relaxed Asia’h talking to Dustin Shipman from The Joplin Globe. He interviews Asia’h in her home and asks her about her American Idol experiences. He also asks her about her predictions for the winner of the American Idol competition and her opinions of some of the still standing contestants. He finally also asks Asia’h about her plans for the future and what the world can expect from a remarkable and talented young woman, Asia’h Epperson.
